The lead up to the trip was pretty hectic. For those who don't know I was in Boston for 10 days, home for the weekend, Indy for a day for my (last) finger checkup, then off to Saipan the following day.

The afternoon before I left for Boston, I got the green light for a business side trip to China while I'm in Saipan. That involved a whole bunch of form filling and FedExing to get my passport and applications to a visa processing service since I wouldn't be able to handle it myself. A combination of delays from the China office, a faulty fax machine, and the Chinese embassy closing for three days turned it into a mad last minute rush. I finally got my passport back on Saturday between Boston and Indy.
