Passing Through Guam

Tumon, Guam
Well, I'm still sick, but I'm heading to China anyway. Especially since I'm entering by train, I don't expect the Chinese border to be very strict, at least with respect to my body temperature. I don't remember Hong Kong having anything like that, either.

I did a little work last night to get some things ready for The MathWorks to review while I'm in China. Otherwise, I just relaxed and packed last night and this morning. I went to Global at lunch. Suka reheated some food, we ate quickly, then she drove me to the airport. We got there soon enough that we parked the car and she came in and sat with me for awhile. I had a ton of time. The schedule was pretty much driven by when she had to be back to work.

I'm upgraded for the flight to Hong Kong! I still don't understand why Northwest won't do international upgrades. I understand that many of their routes are full, but there have also been times when the back was full and there were empty seats up front. Continental is generous with their upgrades, even for Northwest Elite members.

At the gate, I watched the last inning of the World Series with the
security guards. One guy was seriously disappointed. He was rooting for
the Rockies, and I think he had some money riding on it.

The flight to Guam was an uneventful 40 minutes. Since I'm in First Class, I even get to use the wireless and snacks at the President's Club while I'm waiting. So here I am, typing to you overlooking the airfield and watching a spider build its web right outside the window.
