In the morning I just went out by myself and walked downtown to the museum of sacred art. As I was walking I got distracted by the bikinis and suddenly wanted to try one. They were way too small and I tried on at least 30 of them until I decided just to buy a one piece. But it had a bunch of holes in it and it's pink camouflage so I think it still counts as a crazy Brazilian bathing suit, it's just not a bikini haha.

This took many hours and by the time I got to the museum it was closed . So I went and had some lunch and then took a bus to the botanical park. I met a guy from Porto Alegre who spoke great English so I followed him. We had a nice time in the park even though there weren't as many animals or butterflies as advertised and the tower was inoperative.

From there we went to a new park they built on the riverside and had a coconut. Then we took the bus back to my place and Rodrigo had a date to go to. So we said goodbye. It was nice to talk to someone who has traveled more than I have (86 countries) and who thinks the same things about certain places in Brazil as I do. When you have more context to compare new experiences to, it really makes a difference and you can see things for what they really are. Usually not as great as people often say they are. This is because they don't have the same context. I know that sometimes it makes me sound snobbish or like a complainer but it's just because I have a different context.

There was supposed to be a party tonight but Gabriel and mishelle didn't go. So I didn't go either.
