I met "Tarzan" in the morning and we went off with two couples; a French one and a British guy visiting his Brazilians girlfriend. He immediately irritated me. He was constantly mansplaining things to her, even stuff about Brazil. It makes me cringe now, so we'll just skip him. 

By the time we got to the lodge, it was lunch time, so we ate some delicious fish and I met this guy Vincent who actually lived in Iksan for eight years . I took a minute to actually verify that I heard what he said correctly. 

"You mean Iksan, near Jeonju and Gunsan?" I shook my head in disbelief.

"Yep."

"Holy crap, that's so cool!"

So we spent a few hours reminiscing and talking about all the English teachers we knew. He left the year before I got there, so we knew a few of the same people. Crazy world.

Then we went piranha fishing and when the British guy caught a good one, he threw it back and wouldn't share. "Fetch your own," he said. Wow, OK, you don't exist to me now. 

After what seemed like an eternity, we brought back our catch, of which Ben didn't contribute to. 

By then, it was dinner time, so I ate and played some cards with the French people. I was surprised at how much I could communicate with my elementary school vocabulary.

After dark, we went looking for caiman. Our guide caught one with his bare hands to show us his weird three eyelids and we watched as the terrified reptile swam off into the night when Luis let him go.
