South across the Arctic Circle.

Umeå, Lapland, Sweden
After a peaceful night we carried on, on the E8 until we crossed back into Finland again at Pello.  We were hoping to find a Lidl and do some cheaper shopping in Euros and get some cheaper diesel.
Soon after Pello we crossed the Arctic circle again - this time going south.

What a difference!.   No snow, no razzamattazz. just an ordinary looking roadside restaurant with a huge empty carpark and a big signpost.
We parked and crossed the road for the obligatory photos in bight sunshine and temp of 14 deg!
We were the only ones there!

We carried on down to the Baltic coast.   Finland didn't seem much different from Sweden, except there were bigger gaps between the trees and more villages and farms. It all looked very affluent. We saw lots of S-markts and K-markts but no Lidl.
We finally caught a quick sighting of the Baltic/Gulf of Bothnia and crossed into Sweden, to be welcomed by a huge Ikea!
We had lunch by a lake, passed lots and lots more trees and bypassed the town of Umea.
We spent the night in a layby beside the E4 with 4 other Mh's and about 6 huge trucks! Wild camping spots seem harder to find in Sweden1
