Ribe camping is a very good site and at the ACSI rate of 18 e good value - the normal rate would have been about 40e!!   However, all they could offer a 7m MH was a place ' on gravel'
this turned out to be a very large gravel carpark with electric hookups - we have stayed in much more scenic carparks for free or very little. The first pitch they allocated us was next to the rubbish skips and the MH pumpout!. I politely requested another pitch! 
Things went from bad to worse when a group of Norwegians in 3 MH's parked together proceeded to get stuck into their duty frees, while playing awful music, loudly. The last straw was when one of the men relieved himself over the wheel and ramp of his MH ( and his feet!) right in front of me!!
We decided at that point that we would move on early the next morning.

We found free flat parking in Ribe and spent a lovely morning, just wandering about this lovely old town in the sun.   Ribe has been described as the prettiest town in Denmark and even in Europe. It reminded us quite a bit of Suffolk.  

 

After lunch in the CP and a quick shop we drove on to the wonderfully named Mogeltonder.
Schackenborg Slot is the home of HRH prince Joachim, 2nd son of the King of Denmark.
He and his wife Princess Marie were married in Mogeltonder church in 2008 and Prince Henrik was baptised there in 2009.
Mogeltonder is described as having the 'prettiest village street in Denmark'. Every house is different and some of them are thatched. The whole street is cobbled. but what fascinated us is that every house has a big flagpole outside. it must look amazing when all the flags are flying..   Rob wants to fly a Union Jack from our old clothes post!!
The church in Mogeltonder is beautiful and the glorious altar has a burglar alarm stretched across in front of it.
 
After we left Mogeltonder we crossed the border into Germany, did some shopping at a LIDL (euros!) and then drove on to a free MH aire at Bredstedt.
