We're on the road again

Navarrete, La Rioja, Spain and Canary Islands
We had planned to spend a few days at San Sebastian, followed by a few days at Biarritz or St Jean de Luz, before making our way up through France to Caen. However this plan was scuppered when we found that the long range forecast was for heavy rain for the next week to ten days.
The weather was fine on the Mediterranean coast and forecast to stay warm and sunny for the next week at least.  So, change of plan, we would make our way along the Pyrenees to the Costa Brava......
We set off to Logrono, and then on the free A12 to Pamplona.
We stopped there for fuel and a quick Lidl shop and then made our way on the A21 to Jaca.  We had followed this route in 2013 , on our way back from our long trip to Spain and Portugal.   However on that trip the weather had deteriorated and we did not see much of the surrounding mountains.
This time the weather was beautiful and very clear and we had the most amazing views of the Pyrenees.
The A21 Autovia is mostly new and we travelled on parts which had been completed since our last trip.

At jaca we turned south on the n330/A23 to Huesca and then on the A22 towards LLeida.

We had planned to stay the night at the MH Aire at Monzon, but we weren't too keen on it when we arrived, so carried on to the Aire in the village of Tamarite de Litera up in the hills. We spent the night in the elevated Aire in splendid isolation.

I took loads of photos, as usual, so I'll let them tell the story.   As per usual most were taken from the moving MH, so excuse the quality.
