Today we went to Caserta about an hour away but well worth a visit.
Reggia Caserta is apparently the largest (former) Royal Palace in the world & is known as the Italian Versailles
. We tried to blag our way in with National Trust cards but ended up paying in the end! Lots of spectacular rooms & grounds to see, we walked to the top of the gardens - see photo's it was a very long way (about 100 miles we reckoned not the 3km the guide said!) all uphill & in 30 degree heat so pretty exhausting but guilt free meal tonight!
United won & we had a bottle of wine on the house - so a pretty good day all round.
Tomorrow we head to Furore
Night night xx
