The flight from Calgary to Halifax was without incident, although longer than we thought. We left Calgary in rain and arrived in the Maritimes 4 hr 30 mins later in sunshine. There is a 3 hr time difference between Calgary and here so there is going to be a bit of jet lag. Getting up at 4 am body time tomorrow will not be fun.

We had an interesting experience while waiting for our bags at the WestJet baggage carousel here in Halifax. The carousel started and a few bags came out followed by a bottle of beer with a grumpy bear tea-cosy type cover on it, a pair of green socks, a paperback novel and a small plastic bag containing slices of cucumber. We were waiting for the undies but that was it. I think we all thought that someone's bag must have burst open.

Eventually, we accidentally arrived at our accommodation (our TomTom GPS thought we had arrived at our destination about 1km before the hotel) and noticed a shapely woman in a lovely blue frock loading a trolley with Halloween decorations and props. She turned around and it was a very ugly bloke with a beard. This town is getting very interesting!
