Mitchell, Queensland, Australia
Judd's Lagoon to Mitchell.
Stopped in Roma for McDonald's WiFi and a McCafe .

A quick stop at Muckadilla pub for a look around - camping would be on grassy patch on left of hotel. $10 unpowered $15 powered.

Major Michell Caravan park was the first of our happy hour stops on this trip and what a good location it is, under normal circumstances it is quick stroll across the bridge to the wonderfully run artesian spa and the town, but due to local flooding, earlier in the year - the bridge was closed to pedestrians so during our stay the very helpful caravan park owners were running a free shuttle across the bridge.

The campsite has a centrally located fire pit which is used as the nightly gathering point for the people in the park, so this was the ideal spot for us to set up for the evenings festivities.
The fire was lit about 4pm so it was blazing and cheerful for our 4:30pm kick off. Nearly everyone in the park attended and we had about 40 very interested revelers to share our story with .
Mick, one of the campers, arrived with his guitar, so we had music and poetry plus jokes a plenty which made it a very enjoyable evening.

We really needed the fire because the temperature plummeted once the sun went down as did the beer and and snacks on offer.
There was some very lively Dometic discussion and very keen interest in the product brochures that were on display; it is always great to see how much people are keen to keep the 'camping - loves of their lives' in the best possible nick.

Lazy day at Major Mitchell caravan park - washing , having an Artesian spa before being invited to afternoon tea and home made cake by a fellow camper, Jean, to show her appreciation for the
happy hour.

As evening rolled in everyone gathered round the fire for Trivia by Bob, another fellow camper.
