Yarrie Lake, New South Wales, Australia
We stopped in Narrabri at the info centre, an interesting spot as they have a cotton harvester on display in the info centre and outside they have a monument to all Narrabris' famous and accomplished sporting men and women - because it lays claim the crown of the town that has produced the most sports men and women in Austrlian.

A walk up the main street and the inevitable coffee/lunch stop before setting off to see the 22m radio telescope array about 20kms east of Narrabri 6in total, 1 is fixed the other 5 are on a 3km rail track so they can be positioned as required .

9kms further on we found Yarrie Lake - thanks to the Wanderer article - what a gem of a place this is - $18 (with CMCA discount) For a powered site near the amenities with the showers. Jerry the caretake could not have been more helpful, he even went off in his ute and and got us wood for the fire. They have unpowered bush setting spots too, all around the almost perfect-ally round lake thought to have been formed when a meteorite crashed to earth. Apparently It has yabbies and fish in it which make wonderful eating due to the clean water and sandy bottom of the lake.

A fire in the evening while we watched a fox or 2 sniffing around the camp, completed a perfect lake camping experience.
