Qantas to New York

New York, New York, United States
Up early, the only gate opened at the Bradley international terminal in LA was Qantas, and only 4 passengers including us, checked in - as the rest of the plane where transferring from the Melbourne plane that was bound for New York.

Not quite the same high standard as the BNE to LAX flight - but the 5 hours passed quickly and it seems no time until we were on the pavement waiting for our Dial7 transfer service, we were a bit apprehensive, but it arrived in all it's shining black glory, complete with leather seats and absolutely no sign of anybody smoking in it . For the next hour and a bit, Sam informed us about New York and safely delivered us to our Pleasant Ave, Union City address, where Iben was waiting to welcome us. He helped us get the bags to the 1 st level flat which is to be home for the next week. Well the 2 bedroom apartment is perfectly appointed with a verandah that has views of Mahatten, a bus stop virtually at the front door and lots of homely touches.

By now it is dark, but undaunted we headed out in search of a supermarket, and perhaps dinner ! Well we found the supermarket, as it was closing, so we quickly grabbed the essentials without paying too much attention to detail - so. Now we are drinking Green Ginsing laced tea and eating a version of tasty cheese that tastes like plastic.

Cheese and biscuits for supper, because we couldn't find a resteraunt that appealed.
