New York, New York, United States
Everybody in New York is carrying Century 21 bags - clearly they are not carrying houses or apartments - further investigation proves it is a shop that sells cloths and home wares at discount prices - so we checked it out on the way to the Wall Street walking tour.

Sloan, our guide was very knowledgeable and opened our eyes to what appears to be the demise of Wall St as the financial district, only one major bank remains and they are talking of moving the stock exchange away from New York In the near future . Never the less there is a lot of history down in this part of town, after all it is where Manhattan was first settled

From the mezzanine floor of a building across the road from the 9/11 site, we had a good view of the new no 1 tower, the gardens, the water features and the construction site, where eventually 5 new buildings will stand in place of the original 7.

After the tour we met a good friend of ours, Katrina, at Union Station and walked to a delightful bar called Spain at 13th st and 6th ave,. a couple of beers and some Tapas later, we walked the high line, a delightful new park built on an old elevated railway line.
