Amtrack to Boston

Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Another delightful Dial7driver picked us up and delivered us to Pennsylvania Station with plenty of time to spare for our NY to Boston Train trip. About A 4 hour trip through very beautifully countryside made even more beautifully by the autumn colours appearing everywhere.

At South Station Boston, it was easy to find a maxi taxi to take us to North End - the Italian end of town and our home for the next 3 nights . We all fell in love with Boston and in particular the North End. Imagine Tony's delight when he found out that North End has 87 Italian restaurants, from all different regions of Italy - all authentic. Terry and Rick are so lucky they can hop up here easier than going to Italy, and they don't even have to pick a region.

Our VRBO apartment was a few meters from the Main street, delightful and very comfortable.

We explored the local area Stopping for an ale at a local bar, before finding the Famous Union Oyster House - oysters were good, and our waitress was very helpful, taking it upon herself to work out an itinerary for us ! It is a very touristy spot.
