Hopping On and Off in Boston

Boston, Massachusetts, United States
We chose the "Old Time Boston Hop on Hop Off Tram" as our Boston transport for the next 2days. There are several companies offering this service - BUT this one let's San Diego residents travel free with full paying guests (a sister city program) - since Terry and Rick qualified it was our obvious choice.
At $38 it is good value as it gets you to all of the Freedom Trail and includes free entry into the Boston Tea Party (tomorrow's adventure), today we went to The USS Constitution( a free museum) - the oldest war ship afloat in the world - we opted for the guided tour and learnt all sorts of things about war in them those days - and that canons on a ship are called guns - they can only be called canons on land - despite the fact that they are the same thing .

On the way - we encountered the Ringley Brothers circus performers - giving the elephants their traditional North End Breakfast.

Next stop was the Cheers Bar - for a late lunch of fish and chips and buffalo wings - and beer of course.

Back on the bus to the town centre and a slow walk home.

We had noticed a Resteraunt which always had a really longline up for dinner, by about 8:30 it was much shorter and we managed to get a table - Tony had Saltimbocca and the 3 of us had the half lobster tail, clam and scallop pasta with a lighlty spicy sauce - mmmm unbelievably delicious - including wine $100 for all of us - the restaurants name for future reference is Giacomos and it is on Hanover street, North End.
