Trequanda - Staying with Friends

Trequanda, Tuscany, Italy
Thanks in large part to the U.S. Department of Defense and the constellation of 21 geosynchronous satellites known as the Global Positioning System (GPS), we were able to wind our way from Florence through the meandering country roads of Tuscany. At one point the GPS system sent us off the main road, up a single lane path through a small village at the top of a hill. Clearly, the residents were not use to having visitors. While am confident that the GPS would have us arriving in Trequanda via this scenic short cut, we returned to the main road and somehow found ourselves at the magnificent entrance gate of the home of Marvin and Thom called Poggio Pieri.
