Time to head home. It's raining, but warm. The perfect day to leave. Evidently, Roosters do not crow in the rain. After exiting the Keys, we take the "slow" road back towards FLL driving by numerous tropical plant nurseries, thorough Everglades swamps and canals, etc.

With some time to kill, we make a side trip to South Beach Park on the Atlantic Ocean near FLL . It is now sunny and hot. We have a snack at the Oasis Café – known for their rocking chair booths. Casey bids a fond farewell to the beach. We arrive home to 30 degree weather with a forecast of snow in the near future. I’m wondering... should we have purchased some of the “I survived Spring Break 2013” Tee Shirts?
