Logan Pass and Many Glacier

Saint Mary, Montana, United States
The smoke had cleared a bit as we road to Logan Pass from St Mary Eastgate. Our first view was Saint Mary Lake. Then Jackson Glacier Overlook. The glacier has shrunk 50 percent in the last 100 years. They say all the glaciers will be gone by 2030.
Took lots of pictures and could see the scorched trees from the Reynolds Fires in July 2015. We reached our destination of Logan Pass which was as far as you could drive on the Sun Road. There were beautiful views of Clements and Reynolds Mountains and lots of hiking trails. We headed home for lunch.
In the afternoon we road down Many Glacier Road. This is where we had stopped for a quick picture of a black bear on the other side of the narrow road. Surprise!
There was a beautiful view of Sherburne Lake and dam. After that we had a look at the Many Glacier Lodge which overlooked Swift Current Lake - again many hiking trailheads.
The end of the road took us to the Swift Current Motor Inn which was near a campground with lots of tents. I’d be afraid of visiting bears of which there are plenty. I read that the Grizzly Bears are also thriving.
