Heading to Pocatello, ID

Pocatello, Idaho, United States
We left Helena at 8:00 am. We drove by Big Hole Battlefield - another ambush by the 7th Infantry to force the Indians to sign the treaty moving them onto a reservation.
It appears that we’re driving through an extension of the Rocky Mountains - climbed to over 6000’.
There was major road construction in Butte and it looked like they were building a huge dam or roadway. There was a detour off the 15 freeway through Butte.
Also drove by Hell’s Half Acre lava fields. Named this in the 1900’s meaning any rough land. This was between Idaho Falls and Pocatello. The lava was from a shield type volcano.
Arrived at the Cowboy RV Park, Pocatello, Idaho around 2:00 pm. Cost $39.60/night with Good Sams discount. Nice park for permanent and temporary sites but no real amenities. Easy access to 15 freeway.
Relaxing day just watching satellite TV. They do not have cable.
