Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
After breakfast we drove to Grenfell to learn about Sir Wilfred Grenfell, a famous medical missionary who brought improved social, medical, and economic changes to the people of Northern Newfoundland and Labrador. We saw beautiful artwork at the hospital and toured his beautiful home left as it was.
We passed Hawke’s Bay on the way to the gorgeous Arches Provincial Park.
We stopped at Arches Provincial Park which was beautiful. Before we returned to the bus we had a surprise visit from a mummer who served us Newman’s Port.
We continued on to Rocky Harbor near the entrance of Bonne Bay to stay at The Ocean View Hotel. Murray and I were lucky to get a lovely room with a view of the harbor and ocean. We wondered around at leisure.
We had dinner at The Treasure Box. Later that evening we went to the Kitchen Party in the bar with Carolyn, Barbara and Jim Rousse.
