We liked the Country Mill store. We bought freshly made pumpkin donuts, some salsas and I got a toy puffin. We left around 9:30 am.
Stopped at Pilot Flying J for diesel. $2.99/gal. 42.081 gals Total 126.20
We travelled across Hwy 80 and landed In Geneseo around 2:30 pm where we stayed at a Harvest Host called Voltz Tree Farm hosted by Doug & Sue Voltz. They were very helpful contacting us ahead of time with directions and an underpass to avoid.
They told us we could pick corn ($3/dozen) and raspberries ($3/lb.) which we did. Delicious!
In the evening Doug and Sue came for a visit with their own lawn chairs as we sat outside. They also have bee hives and we bought 2 bottles of their honey for $16.
It was no problem to run our generator but we shut it down for the night in case we ran out of propane for the fridge. i slept on the couch bed with all the windows open because it was still warm. I really felt Ike we were camping and so close to nature.
