It's interesting, what different nations do for different holidays. Take for instance Halloween!!!
OH so spooky!!! Being a mom of two adult children, I can now say I was never very thrilled with it
.
We did take the kids out for some candy, so that we were not considered mean. But!!
Glad I no longer have to do it. Altho is do enjoy seeing the small children in some of the oh so cute costumes.
Now in Mexico things are a bit different. Day of the Dead is for remembering their loved ones. They bring flowers, foods , cakes, fruit. All kinds of thing to the graves, It can be a time for remembering the funny things, or strange things that happened in the departed's life. Many of them dress up in
some very strange outfits and at around 10pm they march up the street.
Everyone congregates at central square and then a story is told then the dancing and music start.
Now when I say everyone, I mean everyone. People come from all over to the small towns to participate . There is food and drinks everywhere. There are small children and tired children.
When they leave central square they march down the streets to selected houses. The music is still going, and so is the dancing.
Each selected house feeds, I don't know how many and then they move on to the next selected house.
This goes on all night. Now this was on a Monday----------not sure how many were in school and at work the next day. Hummmmmmmmm. Bet there were a few missing .
We had a great time, and we got home at 1am, I think thats when most of them started to party!!!
Spooooooky

We had fun with Peyton. He was a very cute Superman! He really enjoyed it until 2 teenage ghouls showed up, then he was scared. Looks like they really do it up in Mexico!
