We got here early, this is a tourist site, but so worth the early morning start.

This is a lovely place .
This is the first Maya settlement that the Spanish found. It is sitting right out on
the cliffs, so was spotted as the Spanish sailed by.

They did not make pyramids. They had raised platforms made from rock then built
a home on top of it.

This is a lovely park and one of the most photographed pictures .
And for a reason.

Mine are not as lovely as they might have been. We had cloudy skies, just imagine
this with dark blue skies.

Then we met a friend. He came right up to my shoes. So cool.
