Went looking for a new campground and found a couple of odd characters.
 

Sign said no fishing but I think he had other plans, this Golden Eagle was waiting for the salmon to start running .
 

Moose thought the green grass starting to come up was more important than paying attention to us.
 

Will be going to this campground tomorrow. I'll keep my camera handy.
 

In Kenai we looked at one of the first churches built in the area. Russian Orthodox 
 
 

The visitor center has the largest King Salmon caught , world record.. And a chainsaw carving of it and Les. 1985 on May 17th at 7am on Keniai River. Over 97 lbs.
 

We had the chance to camphost at this cabin, but decided it might be a 24/7 job. Might be fun but would not get to see much of Alaska. So turned down cabin on honeymoon cove.

It is cloudy and a bit chilly still today.
 

Still a very interesting day.
