When you come into Denali it' beautiful.


 I must admit we were a bit disappointed with the scenery when we took the bus tour to Toklat .
 
.I guess a National Parks we have seen just slap you in the face and say look at me. Denali has a quiet beauty that kinda sneaks up on you.

When you get away from the entrance area its just mostly miles and miles of tundra. When its all brown from winter, its hard to see the beauty.


When we got here everything was brown. The late winter just would not let go.
We did several tours on the free green busses and each time we went out you could see the green starting to come thru.

Each time out you could also start to appreciate the beauty of Denali.

We have seen animals on every hike and every tour we have taken.

Although the snow and swollen rivers and creeks have closed alot of the trails and not allowed some of the tours to open. There has been a lot to keep us busy for 5 days.

We have had 5 days of blue skies ,sunshine,and warmth!!

We saw the sled dog demo, that was really wonderful!

Talk about some very happy dogs.

We stayed at Riley Creek Campground and did not have to start the pickup to go anywhere.

Shuttles were readily available
