Pattaya, Thailand
Its has been a very laid back today.

Taking the time to figure out where out next hotel is .

I must admit , it will be nice not to have to search every couple days to figure out what

hotel we are going to go to.

Its been raining off and on all day today, so have not gone far from home.

Poor Roy, he's going a bit crazy.

We are on the 4th floor, of this hotel, so no matter how high it gets we are warm,

cuddly and dry.

We are enjoying a TV show, and I am on the computer.

We are laughing and wondering if we should tell John the owner that as soon as we

leave, things seem to happen right behind us. Nawwww

We have been so lucky on this trip .

I had read that you need to bring 100 % deet because the mosquito dope here doesn't

work worth beans here.

So I brought 4 bottles!! Mosquitoes love me and the feelings are not mutual!

You are only allowed your little quart bag for airlines so I put two bottles in other bottles to

hide them. I wasn't going to get eattin alive!

Well, It is the rainy season , and the rains are suppose to really pour everyday, during this

time of year.

As we have mentioned many times. We have had almost no rain .

We have so enjoyed our time here. Its been absolutely beautiful.

Well, because of no rain, there are also no mosquitoes!!!!

I think I have used mosquito spray maybe 2 times in the whole trip!! And that was

just a precaution .

Love it!

Well tonight we have been sitting in the room , just laying back and enjoying the sound of

the rain on the roof.

BAM! Lighting , flashes and sounds almost instantly .

We about jump thru the ceiling.

Then the fun really starts.

I do not ever remember hearing such loud lighting and so close.

I remember in Bozeman MT when I was a kid.

We had some dandy storms and Id sit it the window seat and watch it play out.

Awesome!

But We have never heard or seen anything like this.

Just was just incredible.

We are laughing and saying were glad we are not out walking to the bus station!

It is pouring out . This is not just rain. Its running off in sheets off the roofs. the electric is

flashing on and off.

Lightning is flashing everywhere, just and incredible storm.

Man for the rain!!!

All of a sudden Im yelling at Roy , the ceiling is leaking, its getting on the bed!!

We jump up and grab some towels and I notice its pouring thru the window.

I run down and start telling everyone I need John!! They are asking " Madam, need

  something?

"Yes I need John"

Well Johns outside watching the water rise in the street.

He comes in , and I said " up stairs" and start running up the stairs .

He goes "Oh, No"

He grabs a ladder and pushes the ceiling panel off and sees that its a pipe from the room

above. He runs up and for some reason the drain pipe is plugged and the water is running

down to our ceiling.

He"s trying to unplug that and the girl notices its running from her window.

He gets that un plugged and looks at the window. It has a cement flower box that has filled

up with rain water , so they start dipping that out.

We come back to our room and start wiping everything up.

I decide to go down and take some pictures of the rain coming down with the street lights

showing it up .

What a surprise, the streets are flooded!

Waters up to the floorboards of the trucks,

Everyones sweeping trying to keep the water out of their business.

I see two young men messing around in the street and take a picture, before I realize

there is a motorcycle covered in water. All you can see are the handlebars.

This is incredible!! We have never seen anything like this before.

I guess our lucks run out , the rain has really caught up with us.

I just hope we can get out of here before the mosquitos come visiting!

5 more days.
