Gorno Draglishte, Bulgaria
After a dayin the city I was glad to be on a local bus towards the mountains. We are staying in Gorno Draglishte which doesn't even feature on the map because it is so remote. But first a short visitto Rila to see the monastery - which despite my negativity towards monasteries a couple of days ago, is well worth a stop.

The original structurewas destroyed by the Turks but what us now found there appearsalmost medieval from the outside . Inside it's filled with spectacular paintings, which if you spend long enough examining, seem to tell from a variety of perspectives - such as ways to torture the devil (?), (which I located on the outside right hand wall of the church of the Virgin birth).

Our final destination for today was our last homestay; which despite seeming initially 'dead' turned out to be a full on experience of the local produce and people, including trying out the local dress for size.

We now have 2 days in Bansko which will be a chance to get some washing done, and rest for a bit as well as the bear sanctuary visit which I am very much looking forward to.
