Walked from Benalmadena to Torremolinos

Benalmadena, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands
Tom and Ed went for a run at 8:30 and I wrote 2 post cards to my grandkids. Sharon relaxed and enjoyed the alone time. When I went to add the stamps to my post cards, I licked them but nothing. I had to go to the front desk and use a glue stick to put them on. LOL
The boys came back from their run and Tom went for a very cool dip in the ocean . He had a visit with a couple from Ireland on the beach. They talked about Brexit and the place Tom and Ed had biked with Megan and Christy years ago. They were very nice people but they said Brexit is causing problems to people that were just making it, now there is no profit with the pound dropping so badly even though they use the Euro
We went to our meeting at 10:30 with our Tour Director and picked 3 extra tours to do. On Monday we will go to Torres and see a olive factory and plantation at work and see how the local people live. Our lunch is at a local lady's home, that is going to be really cool. Then on the 18th we go to Granada: overlooking the city of Granada is the Alhambra. It is the most important Arabic Andalusia monument. We will have a local guide and visit the gardens of Generalife and see the Nazarenes Palaces, the Alcazar and the Charles Quint Palace. Then on the 24th we go to Gibraltar - we will have a guided tour of the tunnels from WWII, there are 52 km of tunnels down below. This city is well known for its historical importance as well as it geographical location. It has been an English colony since 1703. We will also see the famous Barbary Macaques (monkeys). They are going to be 3 full days plus all the other things we want to do on our own.
This afternoon we walked approx 4 km along the ocean from Benalmadena to Torremolinos. We enjoyed beautiful hot weather and sunshine. I bought a bag to carry groceries in and a stocking stuffer for Cody. Can't wait to see him in these. LOL. On our walk we saw a lot of great stuff, including a dolphin out in the ocean. When we got near the end of our walk we had to turn and GO UP THE STEEP HILL - needless to say I was not excited about that prospect. BUT someone up there liked us and we could catch an elevator to the top for 2 E for all 4 of us. Then we walk around till we could find the bus stop and we caught the local bus back to our hotel. They have really nice buses, clean and no graffiti, plus very reasonable to pay for the trip.
Got back and went to the grocery store for a few groceries. They close here on Sundays, now that is a real novelty, I remember when stores closed on Sundays in Canada.
When we were in the grocery store we saw the famous legs of pork that they sell, and how they cut them CRAZY EXPENSIVE. The farmers can only feed their pigs acorns.
Another amazing day. Night and Hugs
