WOW the sun is shining and we don't have to get up really early to catch our tour bus. 8:50 we were waiting for our bus and enjoying the sun and no rain. A little tour bus picked us up and we thought we would be taken to a central area and transfer to a bigger bus. NOT we were lucky and stayed on the little bus for the day and the guide only spoke English and Spanish.
In the Axarquia region is a large white village called Nerja and it is very beautiful . One of our favourite little villages that we have visited. We did a small walking tour to the main square and then we were allowed some free time. We checked out the square, beautiful views of the sea and there was this amazing man playing his harp. Life just doesn't get any better. We walked around the small streets and of course stopped for coffee/tea and a goodie. Ed wishes that LLB had a good bakery so he could do this everyday. The view we had looking at the sea while we enjoyed our treat would be hard to recreate, looking at LLB lake in the summer would be a nice second. Later in the square, another musician playing different flutes was making very nice music.
Back on the bus and we headed up into the hills to visit a cave that was discovered by 4 young men in 1959. The cave had 400 and some stairs going up and down into the different chambers we visited. The stalactites and stalagmites were amazing, one stalactite measured 32 meters in length and is in the Guinness Record book. The cave is showing the wear and tear of visitors, even our breath causes a type of pollution. The artificial lights and moisture is causing green algae to grow on the rocks.
Back on the bus and we are heading for another small town white village called Frigiliana. It is located at the side of a mountain which is 450 meters above sea level. First on our stop was a cool little train ride around the village and the guy running the train was very interesting to listen to and he spoke English . The only bad part was 3 young AMERICAN girls that were talking during the ride. I asked them to please stop talking and they did get a little quieter but they were rude. Tom thought he heard one girl say later that nobody was going to tell her she couldn't talk. Typical Americans. Then we went for a nice walk up into the village and enjoyed looking at the different colours and types of doors on the little condo kinda houses. It would of been great to get to see one on the inside. We kinda got a peek in one and the bed was right by the door. Tom heard two guys talking and they said that lots of people own 2 or 3 places and rent them out seasonally.  
Stopped at a little market to get some fruit, and I got into trouble LOL. I was picking through the strawberries and the guy came over and told me I had to take all the strawberries from one of the boxes before I went to the next box. What can I say.......
Back on the bus and we headed back to our hotel. We got back at around 5:30 and enjoyed a beer on our balcony and watched the sun set. At 7:00 I started this blog, it is now 7:30 and I am almost done and then will pick pictures. Took till 8:10 to upload pictures
PS last night we went for a roast beef dinner and it was nice but the best part was trying to figure out what the desserts were. We were trying to guess when 2 English men in the next table told us what they were. We all ordered something different, Sharon had a rhubarb apple crisp, Ed and I had some kinda cakes in custard but Tom had Spotted Dick LOL - it is a raisin kinda cake in a custard sauce. All the desserts were very good.
