We decided to take it easy while visiting Iguazu falls so wanted to take 2 days to see them
. We arrived into Foz Do Iguacu the town in Brazil alter crossing the borders and had to catch another bus to the waterfalls. The town is 20km away from the Cataratus (waterfalls), as soon as we arrived to the entrance you could hear the roar of the 275 waterfalls crashing the 80 metres into the river (Rio Iguazu) below. The views from the Brazilian side gives the grand overview of the whole waterfall. It was absolutely amazing, both of us had never seen such a spectacular breath taking site. We took a few walks in the nacional park to see many different views. There was a walk way right into the bottom of the big waterfall where we got absolutely soaked by the spray. There were rainbows everywhere as the sun was shining which looked magical.
After we had walked around the nacional park we headed to the local supermarket to buy a few pairs of cheap havianas (fancy slip flops) each. We both couldn“t wait to get home as we had been to the butchers and had steak, mashed potato and red wine for dinner for under four pounds!!
