The bus journey from Puerto Iguazu, 17 hours, was the best yet - good quality roads, good quality bus, and free wine and whisky! Arrived into BA at lunch time, checked into a hostel and had a walk around the area and met up with a BA local, Pablo, who we first met on the beach in Santa Fe, Venezuela . We had lunch in his restaurant and he gave us lots of tips for the city. We left him and walked over to another hostel where friends from Columbia and the couple from the Inka trail were staying and had a few drinks...then on for a quick McFix! In the evening had a few more drinks...

Up early and met people before heading to Cemeterio de La Recoleta. This place is crazy, it´s where Buenos Aires´elite are buried in tombs the size of small houses made of marble and other expensive materials. Through the WINDOWS you can see the coffins. This is where Evita is buried. After this we had a wander around a market and went to the port and walked along the river. Then we had and an all-you-can-eat Chinese...brilliant.

In the evening we went for a meal at a recommended steak house. Massive steaks and good wine, a fiver for both of us! Then we had a table booked at a tango show which our local had recommended to us . This was really good - no dancing but really good music with a band consisting of 4 violins, 2 chelo´s, 4 accordians, a piano and a singer. It really was underground BA, we were the only gringo´s in the place, which was pumping. Unfortunately we had to leave a bit early as we had booked transfers to Pacha, a huge club which is also in England. This place kicked off at about 3am and kept on going until 9am!

Sunday was a complete write-off. We didn´t make the football.

We had a last walk around the city. We headed over to the area Boca and saw the football stadium and the pitch as work was being done on it. Then headed back to the hostal, got our stuff and went to the bus stop to catch our last long distance bus to Mendoza...
