Visited Biscayne National Park for a
full-moon opening of a photographer friend's exhibit. He does amazing
work with a simple digital camera in a plastic box with a slaved
underwater flash.
Revisited the orchids again. The
endangered Cow Orchid is still a phenomenal sight although the search
for a missing person has chewed up the area quite a bit; it should
all regrow during the rainy season.
Spent Saturday (including night) in The
Keys visiting Myra & Mike at many of the tourist spots. Their new
Key's cottage on a canal is really the cat's-meow .
Spent a day working at Fairchild
Gardens pulling exotic mangroves from a place that displays exotic
plants :) – at the end of the day, I hopped aboard the last park
tram to view the interesting loaned sculptures around. Check some of
the pictures I snapped.
Get to book my trip Saturday for a
kayaking week in the back-country. More postings soon...
