We left Barrie (BeeHappy Campground) after a week of doing lots of little chores.
On our way to the Pinery Provincial Park (PP), we stopped in at Bridget's for a tea and a wildflower walk. Seems like everywhere we go it is Spring again with trees budding and flowers sprouting. We spent one night at Pinery PP to burn our firewood and prepare for the border crossing.
Off by 08:00, we had the easiest ever border crossing at Port Huron (Sarnia on Canadian side); just asked if camper was locked (yes) to keep out illegal immigrants and did we have sufficient money. The twelve hour drive to Cindy's land included going over the Mackinaw bridge plus long detours for two road closures. Although we had a late arrival, we quickly setup and disconnected the trailer then warmed ourselves with the last of Joan S's maple logs. It is cold and damp with lots of BlackFlies.
Went to Minaqua for supplies plus Cindy got her second Shingles shot at Walmart. With the cold damp weather and BlackFlies, we cut our Wisconsin stay a day or two to head West again. But we had a great campfire with Pistachios on our last night.
Stay tuned for the next Blog as we continue through the Western USA.
