Being homeless and since the weather was definitely on the warm side, I headed for Point Farms Provincial Park, which is beside Lake Huron just north of Goderich, for some camping in order to cool down and organize the van better for travel. Across the road from the park, they actually farm the wind -- 20+ turbines are an interesting sight. The crops in south-western Ontario seem really decent this year, especially the corn and beans; plus the first harvest of hay has been cut, dried, baled and stored.
I visited Kristy S (nee Ryan), my "adopted" sister, in St Mary's; had a great visit -- learned that I am related somewhat (via Mary Ellen, my first wife) to Bill & Helene Regier of Mount Carmel who were recently (July 23rd) slain in their home, allegedly by Jesse Imerson . A large funeral was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel where I was first married -- may they all rest in peace.
A Peter Seller's "knock-off" seems the best way to describe our family and "The Party" to commemorate our fifty years in Canada effective August fifth --- funded and organized mainly by dad; a great long weekend adventure at Moyra and Dave's who are playing the willing hosts. After picking up Christopher B in Guelph early on the fourth, it was time to motor back up to cottage country and join the festivities. The associated pictures show some of the people that resulted from our original foray into Canada after New Zealand didn't want us (too many children).

A good time was had by all and I think I gained twelve pounds. Special thanks go to Dave and, especially, Moyra for the work in hosting this spectacular large event.
