We have an overnight stay at the Heritage Village Resort and Spa in Manesar before flying south to Goa.

The heavy traffic on NH8 made the relatively short distance from airport to hotel a lengthy journey. Our sightseeing schedule changes down a gear and we can begin to relax and enjoy a slower pace. Driving into the hotel first impressions are good and even more so when we are greeted with a refreshing drink as we check in at the reception.

Whilst not luxurious our rooms are furnished to a high specification with well-appointed bathrooms and comfortable beds. This is a good precursor to our stay in Goa. We know that our hotel won't be so luxurious - but getting back to basics is good too.

We sleep soundly.
