After sleeping in we went up the mountains to the idyllic Talo village where we walked around and got invited to see a traditional farmhouse. The village is situated in the steep hills where also all of the farming takes place on cascaded fields. After lunch we hiked to the Chimi Lhakhang temple before we went back to town. By the way, like any other country Bhutan is not short on quirky things. For instance they do not use surnames or family names. Instead everyone has several first names. Also, they love spicy food! Literally every house dries Chili on its roof and unlike anywhere else Bhutanese eat Chili like we eat vegetables. In fact it's many dishes' main ingredient! (Bhutan has the worldwide highest Chili consumption) Also, smoking cigarettes is illegal here but you are allowed to bring 300 sticks into the country! Go figure... And last but not least, although pornography is strictly forbidden and censored on the Internet you find larger-than-life ejaculating penises painted on every other house... ;) Which proves once again, other countries - other customs.

Nachdem ich heute mal ausschlafen konnte fuhren wir hoch in die Berge zum idyllischen Dorf Talo . Dort spazierten wir ein bischen herum und wurden eingeladen uns ein traditionelles Bauernhaus anzuschauen. Das Dorf liegt auf einem Berghang und unterhalb davon wurden kaskadenartig Felder angelegt. Nach dem Mittagessen wanderten wir zum Chimi Lhakang Tempel bevor es zurrueck in die Stadt ging.
Uebrigens, wie in anderen Laendern findet man auch hier allerlei eigenartige Braeuche. Zum Beispiel traegt man hier keine Familiennamen. Stattdessen hat jeder mehrere Vornamen. Ausserdem, Bhutaner lieben scharfes Essen! Buchstaeblich auf jedem Hausdach kann man zum Trocknen ausgelegte Chilischoten sehen. (Bhutan hat den weltweit hoechsten Pro-Kopf-Verbrauch) Wie nirgendwo sonst werden die Schoten hier wie Gemuese gegessen. Es gibt sogar Gerichte wo Chili die Hauptzutat ist!
Komisch ist auch das Rauchen generell verboten ist aber jedem erlaubt wird 300 Zigaretten ins Land einzufuehren. Da kommt man ins Gruebeln... Eine weitere Eigenart ist, dass Pornographie in jeder Form strikt verboten ist und auch im Internet zensiert wird. Andererseits findet man an fast jeder zweiten Hauswand detailliert uebergross gemalte ejakulierende Penisse... ;) Was wieder einmal beweist, andere Laender - andere Sitten.
