Got picked up by my mountain guide Bunu and our porter Tulsi (estimated age: 13!) Needless to say none of us would let her carry our bags. But WTF, shouldn't she be in school? But then again, later that day we saw another teenage girl carrying a 30kg! rice bag up the mountain. Nuts!
Then we headed for the airport to pick up the other traveler Francis and were on our way to the starting point of the trek to the Annapurna Base Camp or "ABC" about an hour away from Pokhara . Once we got there we hiked through a beautiful valley up to our first destination, the guesthouse Sushma in the small village of Hille. Chatted with French travelers and had fun with the staff eating dinner in the kitchen.

Wurde von unserem Bergfuehrer Bunu und unserem Traegerin Tulsi (geschaetztes Alter: 13!) abgeholt. Natuerlich liessen wir sie keine unserer Rucksaecke schleppen. Aber sollte sie nicht in der Schule sein? Aber dann sahen wir spaeter eine andere Teenagerin einen 30kg! Reissack den Berg hochbuckeln. Verrueckt!
Dann fuhren wir zum Flughafen, um Francis aus England abzuholen und machten uns auf den Weg zum Anfangspunkt unseres Treks zum Annapurna Base Camp or "ABC", etwa 1 Std ausserhalb von Pokhara. Von dort aus wanderten wir durch ein schoenes Tal hinauf zu unserem ersten Etappenziel, dem Gasthaus Sushma im kleinen Dorf Hille. Quatschte mit anderen Reisenden aus Frankreich und hatten viel Spass mit dem Personal in der Kueche beim Abendessen.
