What a rip-off! The MonsterWedding (more than 2000 guests) was just about winding down when i got up at 4AM, picked up at 4:30AM and driven to the Tiger Safari sales office. Stood in line until 6:30AM in the freezing cold, got my damn ticket, drove back to the hotel and waited for the Safari Jeep to pick me up. Late, of course, we started our Safari around 10AM and for the next 2 hours saw exactly: Nothing! No tiger, no hyenas, no crocodile, no bear, no nothing! All park animals according to the brochure. A complete waste of time and money, this so called Ranthambhore NP and "Tiger Reserve". And apparently I was lucky to only do this nonsense once. There were other travelers in my tour group who tried 3 of those "safaris" already! And as if to mock us before the trip they let us sign a waiver form... ;)
I later heard there are suppose to be only 23 tigers in the NP . And even that number is probably more wishful thinking. Thanks to the poachers...
Spent the rest of the day by the pool reading.

Was fuer eine Abzocke! Die Monsterhochzeit (mehr als 2000 Gaeste) war gerade am Abklingen als ich um 4 Uhr aufstand, um 4:30 Uhr abgeholt und zum Tiger Safari Verkaufsschalter gefahren wurde. Stand bis 6:30 Uhr bei Eiskaelte in der Schlange, kaufte ein verdammtes Ticket, fuhr zurrueck zum Hotel und wartete bis der Safari Jeep mich abholte. Verspaetet, natuerlich, starteten wir unsere Safari und sahen die naechsten 2 Stunden exakt: Nichts! Keine Tiger, keine Hyaenen, keine Krokodile, keine Baeren, absolut nichts! Uebrigens alles Tiere, die laut Broschuere im Park herumspazieren sollen. Eine komplette Zeit- und Geldverschwendung, dieser sogenannte Ranthambhore Nationalpark und "Tigerschutzgebiet". Und es schien als haette ich dabei noch Glueck den Nonsens nur einmal mitgemacht zu haben. Auf meiner Tour waren andere Reisende, die den Klamauk zum dritten Mal mitmachten! Und wie zum Hohn mussten wir alle vorher noch das Formular unterschreiben, dass wir die Safari auf eigene Gefahr unternehmen... ;)
Spaeter hoerte ich, dass im Park wohl nur 23 Tiger sein sollen. Und selbst diese Nummer ist vermutlich mehr Wunschdenken. Dank den Wilderern...
