Well after what seems like a marathon event I have finally arrived home.. Yoo HooWe caught up with Arlene and David at the departure lounge in Santiago, they ended up staying inside the terminal to avoid paying the $95 fee..We had some dinner with them and did some last minute Duty free shopping and then boarded the plane for our flight to Auckland..We departed at midnight, I was lucky enough to get the last row at the back of the plane which is good for reclining and getting up & down..I was sitting next to a young lad from Sao Paulo in Brasil who was on his first flights and travelling to Australia to study.. I popped a couple of my fabulous travel sick tablets and woke up about 8 hours later..freaking fantastic I say..Watched a movie then it was time to land in Auckland..5am NZ time, we had a 2hr stopover or there abouts then it was a 3 hour flight to Sydney..Took ages to get through customs in Sydney..they must have had about 3 planes land at the same time..Bloody chaotic. Got through with all our stuff and then got the bus around to the Domestic Terminal..it was 9 am Peter checked his bags through with REX airlines, he had to pay excess..lol..My lol didnt last too long as I soon discovered I couldnt check in until 1200 hrs !! So had to sit on my bag for 3 hours..Disgusting !! Not going to fly Jetstar again if I can help it.. There was a couple of Swedish girls who had arrived at 0600 hrs and their flight to Cairns was at 1530 hrs !! How embarrassing to be an Australian..in all my travels these past few months it has never been a problem..Anyway I will not go on about it, I have fired a complaint letter of to them which I am sure will be ignored but I feel better about it..lol
Lachie picked me up and I was amazed at the changes in 3 months..The Airpot car parking is finished and so is the airport tunnel..so I hadnt a clue where the heck we were going.
The dog was really excited to see me but after her initial jumping everywhere off she went to Lachies room..I guess I have a lot of sucking up to do to win her affections back.
There was a mountain of mail to open and a mountain of bill to pay which also goes with the mountain of washing to do..I guess I know where I will be for the next few days !!
