Tent Shopping in Toronto

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
15 hours flying to Vancouver....Had a woman sitting opposite me who cleared her throat constantly.. I was ready to offer violence by the time we landed.. We didn't get much sleep at all. We did enjoy the exit row seats..nearly as good as Business class I say..lol
A quick turn around in Vancouver and with all the time differences we arrived in Toronto at 1600 hrs Eastern time. Light rain...They have the Indy car race on here at the moment so everyone on the road was complaining about traffic.
I had put a lot of homework into choosing a Hotel here as I wanted one near a Walmart so we could buy a tent and also cheap. Welcome to the Howard Johnson hotel chain... No lift & we were on the second floor...then after a great amount of discussion with Nhat ( the Basil Faulty of Howard Johnson)... We learnt that we were nowhere near the Walmart store... Anyway after consulting a map we decided to walk to the nearest one, it took us about an hour I think.. Our walk took us through an obviously ex seedy area that has now become trendy with lots of Antique stores and quirky little restaurants... A few homeless type people about, one was sleeping in the Banks ATM room, obviously his bedroom. But it was good to stretch out our legs.
The shopping centre was pretty new and huge... Walmart was awesome. We found our tent, it is supposed to put itself up...but we will see how true that is in a few days. We bought a small Sunbeam Kettle for $9.98... 1 x $12 watch for Kathryn and 2 umbrellas . Next stop was Tim Hortons for Coffee & Donuts and we discussed the possibility of getting a bus back..
With the help of a local lady we caught a bus & a tram back to the Hotel, much easier than walking carrying our tent.
On our return to the hotel we were met by some girls on a batchelorette night out so I was thinking Oh no they are going to wake us up tonight when they come home....but this morning my thoughts changed to what they were thinking..Oh no, I hope those old ladies don't wake us up tomorrow morning..lol
Tonight is sorting ourself out, looking forward to getting our car tomorrow so we can stop carrying all our stuff everywhere. No photos yet due to forgetting my camera.
