Beaver Creek, Yukon, Canada
Beaver Creek Yukon Monday:    Slow start to the day from Valdez due to Kaff requiring just a couple more shots of the Otters. It was also raining again so we hung about for about an hour at the hatchery waiting for a bear that didn't show up and taking photos of the Otters.. They are very clever they way they float around on their backs chewing stuff they found on the bottom. Then duck diving for more every 5 minutes or so. Anyways after about 1000 Otter shots and 2 Eagle ones we were able to head off. The Richardson Highway from Valdez to Glenallen is called the Switzerland of the US. The vistas around every turn are awesome, up close and personal with the Glaciers that come right down beside the road. The rushing mountain rivers and the carpet like ground covers will stay with me for a long time. We have both enjoyed Alaska very much.
We had a quick lunch at Glenallen crossroads which wasn't very successful and changed drivers and pushed onto Tok on the Alaskan Hwy
Once again we saw about 4 Moose Heads with huge racks in the back of the hunters cars as we passed them. One guy even had a Caribou Rack as well as his Moose one. I guess its done at home so no different here its actually a sport I think.
We topped up with cheap Gas before heading along 100 mile to the Border crossing.. No issues there we crossed over and pulled up stumps for the night at Beaver Creek 2 klm inside the Canadian Border.
The RV spot is in dire need for some TLC but we have water and we have electric and they don't have a lot of competition. I am sitting in the Office using the wifi as even though we are parked close the connection is a bit dodgy.
We have no time schedule now and are a few days ahead of schedule due to not going back to Skagway. So we are thinking of doing a bit more in BC and maybe crossing the border down south to do some shopping.
Ran into some German women next to us in a Camper by Canada Dream, its a brand new F350 and they have had nothing but trouble with it. They haven't been able to go faster than 40 MPH so they are on their way back to Whitehorse to get it fixed. Anyway they were admiring my Hosebag so I went out and spoke with them and as they had had such a bad time I gave them the other one I had. They will leave it with their RV like we will with ours and hope that the companies use them and order more...(That's wishful thinking on my part Judy)
Anyway that's me over and out in Beaver Creek
