Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Vancouver Thursday:    For a change the plane was early but after waiting for the two planes from Seoul Korea to unload and then to wait for them to square away their work Visas they finally came through at about 1400hrs. Non the worse for wear after a long flight. We cabbed it into town to the Century Plaza hotel where we met up with Lachies mate Jamie. Our room was on the 20th floor which kinda freaks me out. We have a kitchenette and a separate bedroom and a view right down Burrard Street. The downside of the hotel is the Hospital next door, and the sirens that go on and off all night.
The kids went out for a few drinks and came home worse for wear . Obviously Jetlag and drinking don't work very well together..lol Everyone was in bed by 10, Lachlan a little earlier !! We all had a restless night and are hoping tonight it will be better.
This morning was all about organising their paperwork. Jamie did most of his yesterday so he knew exactly where to go. So now they have their like Centrelink card so they can work. They have also organised an ID Card and a Bank account. They now need to find some money to put in it.
After that we caught the Sea bus across to North Vancouver then the bus up to Grouse Mountain. We went up in the Sky train and had lunch and then checked out the 2 Grizzly Bears they have up the top. One was sleeping but we managed to get some good photos of the other one. We then took the chairlift to the top. They have another new thing up there, its a wind Turbine with a circular glass viewing area at the mid section. That we didn't do as the Chairlift was hairy enough. It was a bit hazy for photos but at least it wasn't covered in cloud like last time I was there.
On our way back down in the bus we stopped to go into Capilano Suspension Bridge but when we saw they wanted $35 plus tax we gave it a miss...Its definitely not worth that money . Back on the bus we went then across on the Sea bus and we made our way to the Pacific centre and the kids bought some warm clothes.
Early to bed tonight because everyone is still tired from last night. We are off to Whistler tomorrow on the Grey Dog.
