Crazy pilots

Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, India
Had a wonderful late kick off today which was great. The internet was down yesterday so I was unable to upload the blog.. Last night I thought we were under attack but is was fireworks, apparently a wedding downstairs in the hotel ..
Today we were flying out to Khajuraho, it took an hour to get through all the traffic and madness of Varanasi to get to the airport and then it's a real process, we went through two checks before making it inside the terminal, then it took about an hour to check our bags and get boarding passes, this is even using the group check in .. Vishel even had a bloke from the hotel come to help us. After waiting for all that we had to go through the X-ray ..Men to the left, women to the right. They make you take out your cameras, laptops iPhones, jackets..but they didn't say anything about my water...anyway my backpack was selected to an extra look and it was my bag of electrical & camera cords, I guess they thought I was going to make a bomb..
Anyway after what seemed like forever we took off, we got a water bottle and a half sandwich and before we New it we were landing..The crazy pilots on the two flights we've had, don't seem to slow down when they land..we were all freaking out as when they slam the brakes on everyone jerks forward, it's a wonder we all didn't land in the cockpit..
Khajuraho ..is a UNESCO World heritage site and it is in rural India and has a population of about 15,000. So a wonderful change from the really overcrowded cities we have so far been to.
The hotel is large lowest with nice gardens and a great looking pool.
We had a buffet style lunch before jumping into some Jeeps for a 3 hour safari drive to Raneh Falls .. it was fantastic, there were about 5 Jeeps and we drove for about 40 minutes out to a Wildlife park driving through several villages on the way. We saw white spotted deer and some other deer, wild boars, monkeys, and peacocks also a Mongoose , some Vultures and down at the river was a massive alligator as well as a crocodile .. when we entered the park a ranger jumped on the back of the jeep and he was spotting the animals, our rangers name was Diamond..
It was really great and the river area was like a mini Grand Canyon which fills during the monsoon season.. The sun was setting on our drive back to the hotel so we stopped a few times for pictures. It was a nice afternoon.
We had to do a quick shower and change and then off to a cultural show, thankfully that only went for an hour before we were able to return home grab some dinner and hit the room..
