Spring Creek Mountain Village RV park.
Poptarts and coffee! Trains are a runnin'
.
Filled the water because we might not have all the frills tonight. Sunny. There are rabbits hopping all around the park. Circled town a few times to try to find and get into a grocery. Milk was $4.49 gallon [or whatever they sell] and eggs $2.59. We bought neither.
We drove on to Banff National Park. We pay by the day to be here. Family rate is $19.60 per day. Took the Lake Minnewanka loop. There were Mountain Goats on the side of the road and up on the ledges. Went in to Banff. This is a beautiful town, with wide sidewalks, roads, pedestrian crossings. Probably like other towns in ski areas, but I haven't seen those. Lots of monied folks walking around. Had lunch at Boston Pizza [a chain here] and then COWS Ice Cream, voted the best in Canada. From there we took the Banff Gondola up, and up, and up for 8 minutes. Beautiful scenery. Below freezing at the top.
On the road again to Lake Louise Trailer, does that sound plush! This is a provincial park where you self check in by getting an envelope, finding a site, tear off the top and put it on a pole, put money in the envelope and drop in a slot at the entrance. It has filled and RVs are circling. We only have power here. There is a warning at the entrance that the trains run by here...they weren't lying. We went to Lake Louise, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world because of the color of the water...........when it isn't frozen and under a foot of SNOW as it is now. It was still a beautiful spot with a huge Chateau hotel there. The rates for this are $800 a night in high season. The snow was melting and the stream was running. This lake is one of the heads of the Bow River. It is only 39 degrees at its warmest! Piles of snow still remain.
Now at the RV site we begin to see other RVs from the group from Iowa. We dine on microwave dinners.
We only drove a few miles today as these things are close together.
We have driven 1569 total miles.

Are you having fun! Your stories are interesting. What an experience. We're into summer again and and enjoying our resort. Last night we met your friend Ben who lives on Scout at the new residence orientation. Keep having fun!
