My eyes are sore from watching for wildlife

Tok, Alaska, United States
We left Tok in mostly sunny weather, 48 degrees, at about 8:30. Time change is good when you don't have to be somewhere.
The wet lands as we leave are muddy or green but so reflective . We can see the mountains in them. The road conditions varied all day, with some of the roads under repair...not a moment too soon. The mountains ARE the scenery for the day. We also scan the hills and roadsides for some wild creatures. At Sheep Mountain we spotted sheep way up and a bear also was in view. Some of the lakes are still frozen and the glaciers are still under snow in most places. It looks very different at this time of year. Huge mountains are always amazing! We drove the Tok Cutoff Road to the Glenn Hwy.   We did see the Matanuska Glacier pretty close.
Wonder of wonders, Ed yelled MOOSE. There across the opposite lane, heading in the same direction as we a moose was giving us a race. The noise of the Rv must have spooked him. Then as we passed he stepped over the guardrail and crossed to our side and into the woods. It was so exciting.
The hills and valleys change from green to less green over and over. It has become very green in the fertile, Matanuska Valley where we are tonight. This is the area where the largest vegetables in the world are produced.
The biggest surprise is the weather. It was 76 as we pulled into Fox Run RV park in Palmer. I am hot in my winter clothes. We had the air conditioning on. Susan sits by the thermostat and reports on the numbers VERY frequently.
We only drove 277 miles today, but we stopped frequently to admire the mountains, lakes, streams, rivers. When we stop for the night we are tired from scanning the scenery all day.
It is very noisy here compared to the quietness of being in the middle of nowhere for many, many days.

I just scrolled the map out so I can see the total distance you have driven. It is amazing you have gone crazy far!
