Back to civilization?

Palmer, Alaska, United States
We are at Fox Run RV. I had difficulty on the internet. I had to sit outside to write and the MOSQUITOES are the size of hummingbirds! [well they were big].
We only have to go into Anchorage today with very little on the agenda SOOOO we went to Walmart for a spin . Then on in to town. We decided to go to Kincaid Park to see the moose. NOT!   We could see Mt McKinley for a few minutes before the clouds aroung it began to obscure the view. We pulled into a spot and fired up the generator. I turned on the gas cooktop for the FIRST time and boiled water for soup. I have used the microwave for every other cooking.
It is so warm here, the natives are getting naked. The kids are out of school and the town is hopping. We went to the Diamond Center, a mall. to walk around. Just like any mall, same stores.
We have used up our miles on the contract, so now we have a mileage to pay. It won't be much.
We made our way back across town to the Golden Nugget RV and trailer park. If one had a million dollars they should open a really good RV park in Anchorage. The office is only open for a few hours and they were away today. So we picked out a space. Ed went to the office to pay after they came back, no problem. It is beginning to fill.
We walked about a block to Denny's for dinner. We have very little food left in the larder!
There is supposed to be a blue grass show here now. ED JUST CAN'T WAIT TO GO!
All the sounds of the city are here. I think we took the peace and quiet of being in the middle of no where for granted.
We are packing to turn in early tomorrow. It is still light here at 11:30 pm!
ALMOST DONE!

Thanks for all the neat stories----------as far as we can tell from your notes, you are still married! Made another trip myself just yesterday. Dropped the top and drove to Publics as we were out of milk. Looking forward to having you folks back home and was wondering if you had decided to rent a car in Anchorage and perform a marathon drive back to Tennessee------go for it Ed!

Cheers.
