Koh Jum, Thailand
Koh Jum is a sleepy little island, halfway between Koh Lanta and Krabi (on the mainland). It's still pretty undeveloped - very few, small bungalow places, power only in the evenings, one main road (dirt) and no pier on the 'right' side, so the ferry between Koh Lanta & Krabi just stops and long tail boats come out to pick up newcomers and drop off those leaving the island.

We hadn't booked a place to stay, but that was no worries - our bungalow place of choice, Sun Smile, sends out a long tail for every trip (or at least they seemed to) so we got taken there directly (free) and they had a bungalow free so we were sorted (500 Baht, fan, cold water, power between 6pm and 1am, sheets, toilet paper, no towels, balcony with great sea view) .

Spent 3 lazy days lying on the beach, swimming, snorkelling, wandering around the 9km long island, eating amazingly good food (Koh Jum Seafood in Ban Koh Jum on the back side of the island can't be beat - only takes an hour or so to walk there) and generally relaxing. Ahhh... tropical island bliss :)

Tomorrow we head on back to the mainland and Krabi, where I hope to get in a spot more diving and Kristina will work a bit more on her tan :)
