Friday ? - 8am in port at St Thomas, US Virgin Islands beautiful morning - we have breakfast
outside on the back deck - I try Scottish Eggs Benedict (with smoked salmon) very tasty ...
more/different precautions for the GI virus - I wonder if the slow rather confused food service
is due to stevedores having to help at the buffet!! Nevermind we are not starving!

Off to town - a $4 taxi ride and we walk the 99 steps up - in small sections - to Blue Beard's
castle viewing several old, beautiful colonial homes enroute.
Stop for a cool drink - I have Sangria in a bar that reminds me of Wayne, AB !! - it is a very
warm sunny day with moderate humidity. There are 3 cruise ships in port we are the only one
at our end of the pier and we are the smallest (yeah)...

We are scheduled to leave at 4.30pm-- and the little mini shopping centre near the ships dock is
full of those of us 'connected' - no Starbuck's here I paid $4 US for 8 hrs!!

Who knows what tomorrow will bring - and whether ot not I will find wifi- will write again when
I can!!
