Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
Thursday - dawns a bright sunny day - we are off to breakfast and then the Skylon Tower.
The hotel doing the usual good job on directions (not) - we find our own shortcut /short
walk from the hotel to the Tower - a quick, silent and vibration free ride to the top 157m !! Wow!
scenery is fabulous - bit of a wind outside - but worth it, you can almost see tomorrow!!

One last stop at 'Italian Ice Cream' - just coffee this time and we buy some beans for home ...
once again the QEW -noting interesting road signs as we go (Casablanca) quite busy and then onto 407 much quieter - about Markham we need
to get off the 407 and seeing as it is almost finished decide to take the 'local' 7 East - local
traffic is slowed by construction - gets better later and we get to see Peterborough (well, sort
of they have a 'ring road') and continue without incident to Perth where we are trolling the streets
looking for dinner - stop at Fiddleheads - what a find - the best meal of the trip - seared tuna
with blackbean risotto, corn salsa and vegetable spring rolls - after coyly asking 'do you make your own desserts?' and being told 'yes' I vote for the Bourbon pecan pie (it was not a ploy to avoid sharing :) - it too is 5* -- the restaurant is in the basement of an heritage building quite
rustic and beautiful -- the river (creek?) across the street is flooding - park benches are at risk
of becoming boats!

Home about 9pm......until the next time....
