Jasper - left Edmonton on a bright sunny day and drove - rather quickly into heavy clouds/rain that have stayed with us in Jasper. We managed a boat ride on Maligne Lake
which was semi-dry -- but the heads of all the mountains were in clouds. Med's first taste of mountain driving.
Our 'Becker's Bungalows' is 'cute' a small log cabin with everything (well perhaps not
everything) 2 people need.
The rain hasn't stoped the animals from 'showing' and we have seen both deer and male/female elk.
The tourist info person told me I was the first person to ever ask if there is a mosque in Jasper - couple this with we were looking for a restaurant that advertised some Moroccan
dishes again asking the Tourist Info person - and I elaborated saying we were looking for a restaurant that served 'halal' - she replied she knew Kamal -- there was a moment of silence, wasn't quite sure how to respond --
Official answer - there is no mosque in Jasper -

We are here for another day - hoping the weather improves considerably for the ride down the Icefields parkway - the scenery is only stunning if you can see it!!
